Job role: To create illustrations for book covers, generally of the fantasy, nonfiction, or YA contemporary genres.

Open to: Anyone in the US who submits a portfolio. OR anyone internationally who can invite us to be their employer via UpWork or Fiverr using their special invitations. 

Payment Structure:

Premade Book Cover Illustrations

For every illustration, you will submit it for review.

If the cover is accepted and then purchased, you will receive the following based on two models:

1. If you do the typography, layout, and color correction yourself (must be approved by the team as attractive and in genre): 85% of the listing price. 
2. If we do the typography, layout, and color correction for you: you will receive 60% of the listing price for yourself.

Illustrated premade covers on this site are listed for a minimum of $60 and a maximum of $140. 

*Please note:* You must commit to returning the final version of covers within three days of clients’ purchasing them.  You must also be able to give the team access to the PSDs for the sake of filling in the custom information on behalf of clients if you happen to be absent. 

Other

If you do consistent work, there is also the chance to be hired for custom covers as the work comes up. For those, you will be paid a higher fixed price. 

*Please note:* We do not have illustrated covers under our custom covers at this time. However, if we find a good book cover illustrator, custom covers that are illustrated will cost $50 – $100 more than the photo manipulation covers based on the illustrator’s experience.
